Seorak again... we are mad...

I had started posting on my travel experiences when we did Seorak trip last year. We wanted to re-create some part of it as we had planned exactly same thing this time. But you can't create magic every time. :)

It was a fun trip though. All new guys except we veterans (nagalajee and me). Peeshi made great lunchie and we were so sleepy to start with. But we managed to start in time to reach Naksan at good time for enjoying the beach party.

Enjoyed playing in water, the crowd, and playing beach football. And then the usual pizza hunt and some leisurely moments at the beach. We also picked up some food stuff from E-mart on the way. After all, we wanted to do it exactly like last time. There was a lot of discussion about the correct time to start for hike but I was damn sure that we shold be starting very early in the morning or we all will die of heat. Finally, I was able to convince for 4am start from the motel. The alarm was set at 2.45 am and we switched off the lights at 12.30. Morning was fun to wake up everyone. I tried lights, hair-dryer noise and what not. And finally, we managed to start at 4.30.

The hike was wonderful but was getting tougher all the time. We had finished almost all the liquids and were preserving a few sips for emergency. Peeshi dropped out earlier. We lost Sandeep and others slept off on the rocks at one place. Nara and me started back discussing great fundaes of life.

When we returned to the stream where the tougher section had started, we were so happy to see the water. It was supposed to be heaven on earth as according to a legend some fairy had come down there for spending a good time. And for us, it was no less than heaven. All the bruises and pain disappeared for a while when we entered the water.

Return journey was great fun with we getting stuck in holiday traffic (as expected). I was so sleepy by now. But the drive started so well. We were zooming past the traffic. And it was an ideal setup for great ride. Expressway was crowded but it did not stop you from touching 160 kmph. But the fun was over as soon as we started meeting other expressways joining from Southern part of the country. Traffic started crawling. And we stopped for dinner.

could not really complete this one... :(
