Jirisan: Snow Hiking

Dyeokusan rest area where we waited for sunlight so that we do not miss the scene around. Muju resort here is very popular. Planning to go there next weekend.

This is the hiking route. It was completely snow laden. We were too well prepared for any adventure. Crampons were life savers. :)





























Byeopgusa temple in background where we had our food. It was very windy and it was a challenge to find a place to eat. Finally we managed to find a big rock as shelter. But it was really cold out there. It was hard to keep hands out of gloves to eat.

This is view from top. We had not planned for a longer hike to reach the peak.
